Long Bio

Executive Coach | Speaker | Author | Creator of World Changing Women™ | Founder & CEO of People at the Center™

Kim Carpenter is a global speaker, trainer and executive leadership coach who believes we all deserve to express our fullest potential in our personal and professional lives. She’s on the cutting edge of a new corporate movement to bring more humanity into the workplace, and specializes in working with leaders and their teams to hone communication skills, make difficult but empowered changes, and develop thriving company cultures that honor the human and boost the bottom line. Kim has helped hundreds of professionals and business leaders from companies including Apple, Microsoft, Netflix, and more. As a result of her mentorship, her clients achieve breakthrough results, earning promotions, pay increases, cultivating higher employee engagement, and generating millions of dollars in financial gain for their organizations.

After working for 15 years as a Corporate Marketing Leader for global brands, Kim had an existential crisis. After spending years fine-tuning pharmaceutical brand campaigns to pump more drugs into the world, and credit card companies to push more debt, she found herself asking, “How can I make a bigger difference in the world?” When her boss chastised her for mentoring team members rather than firing them, she knew it was time for a huge change.

Kim embarked on a life-transforming sabbatical to four countries, studying topics such as the Science of Motivation, and training to become a certified coach. She returned ready to start her own venture and created World Changing Women™, a support ecosystem for professional women who want to stand in their power, increase their pay and visibility, and elevate their career to higher levels of leadership.

Kim also founded People at the Center™, a boutique coaching and consulting firm dedicated to amplifying human-centric business practices while increasing revenue. Kim works with executives and entrepreneurs around the globe to help them become better leaders, communicators and change agents, with an emphasis on transforming the workplace into an empowering space for all.

Kim is trained in Immunity To Change™, Conversational Intelligence™, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Advanced Communication Skills, and Business Turnarounds. Her speaking topics include Effective Feedback, Building Trust at Work, and Grow Where You are Planted. She is the creator of Your Path To Promotion Assessment and Programming to help aspiring leaders improve their position, influence and pay. She is a member of ATD (Association for Talent Development), SHRM (Society of HR Managers) and ICF (International Coach Federation). She is a volunteer mentor for startup founders, donates to the B1G1.org Global Giving campaign to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and is a Core Guide for the global women’s networking organization, Chief.

When she’s not working to improve the lives of professionals around the world, you might find Kim hiking, stand-up paddleboarding, watercolor painting or wine tasting with friends and family. She currently lives in Austin, Texas with her family and Cosmos the Wondercat, who regularly photobombs her Zoom calls.
