Are you on a path to promotion?

Sometimes people think the only way to get ahead is to change jobs, but that's usually not the best solution. There are often many ways that you can make more money or elevate your leadership right where you are. You just need to uncover the strategies that are most likely to work for you, and then take consistent action toward your goals.

I know, it sounds easy when I say it and in reality it might not be that simple. Your boss or manager might feel intimidated by you, or they might not even know how to help you move ahead. Sometimes the company culture makes it feel impossible because of a "ways that things are done around here" mentality.

All I can tell you is that every single client I've worked with to get a promotion or a raise has been able to do that, and I'd like to help you too.

Your best place to start is to take our Path To Promotion Assessment.

This will help you get crystal clear on where you're strong and well-positioned for a promotion, and what you might be missing that's holding you back from moving your career forward.

The areas that you should be focusing are:

  1. Do you have a clearly articulated vision for your leadership?
Have you written out your vision? Do you know exactly how to meet the advancement requirements at your current place of employment and in your industry in general? Do you know your core values and how they align (or not) with your employers?

  2. Are you exhibiting Executive Presence?
Are you confident in your leadership ability? Does that shine through to others? Are you able to remain calm and grounded in times of crisis?

  3. How are your communication skills?
Are you aware of your communication style and that of others? Do you know how to adapt to the style of the person you are speaking with in order to have the most rapport, understanding and positive results? Are you great at resolving conflict or miscommunication?

  4. Are you and your team meeting or exceeding performance standards? Are you proud of your team culture and the way you work together?

  5. Are you demonstrating to others that you are ready for a promotion? Do you consistently look at things from a strategic angle? Perhaps more than others at your level? Are you clear about the contribution you make? Are you a master of delegation?

If you’ve answered yes to many of these questions, you may be right on track for that promotion! Take our 5-minute assessment and find out if there’s anything holding you back - what do you have to lose?

If you've already taken the assessment, I recommend spending some time with your results and creating a plan to move forward. If you'd like to learn more about what it could be like to work with me or one of our coaches, feel free to reach out by clicking the "get in touch" button at the top of your screen. I look forward to connecting with you soon!
